[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 30th that it will hold a nationwide policy participation game event until October 12 to spread public consensus on the ‘Digital Transformation Plan for Small Business Owners’ policy.

This game event was created as a traditional folk game called ‘Yutnori Game.’ The ‘Corona’ and ‘Small Business Owner’ characters compete one-on-one, each throwing yut sticks, and the side with the higher result wins. If the player wins more matches than the Corona character in a total of seven rounds, they are automatically entered into the event.

To promote the small business digital policy, the electronic yut sticks feature key policy phrases such as smart workshops and live commerce. Each time the yut sticks are thrown, the yut board (background screen) changes with policy explanations, introducing major policies such as digital traditional markets and smart stores, allowing players to understand the small business digital transformation policy at a glance. Among the game participants, 100 people will be selected by lottery to receive various prizes including Brand-K products and traditional market goods.

Kim Junghyun, Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, said, “We hope that many citizens will take an interest in the small business digital policy during the Chuseok holiday period,” and added, “We will steadily promote key policies such as smart stores to help overcome the Corona crisis through the digitalization of small businesses.”
