[Asia Economy Reporter Bae Kyunghwan] Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol exchanged views with Xing Haiming, the Chinese Ambassador to Korea, on cooperation in law enforcement.
According to the legal community on the 29th, Prosecutor General Yoon met with Ambassador Xing on the 25th and expressed his hope that "strengthening exchange, cooperation, and linkage in law enforcement between China and Korea will help deepen and develop the Korea-China strategic cooperative partnership."
In particular, Prosecutor General Yoon mentioned China's recent economic development and also conveyed his congratulations on the 71st anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. In response, Ambassador Xing said, "We will work to strengthen cooperation in law enforcement between Korea and China to ensure the smooth development of bilateral relations."
Meanwhile, Deputy Prosecutor General Cho Nam-gwan and Director of Planning and Coordination at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office Lee Jung-soo were also present at the meeting.
