[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Kangwon Land announced on the 29th that it conducted volunteer activities for socially marginalized groups in the region, such as single mothers, elderly living alone, and households with disabilities, ahead of the Chuseok holiday.

First, on the 28th, Kangwon Land delivered 100 boxes of "Happiness Sharing Packages," consisting of baby clothes, focus books, and other childcare items needed by single mothers, along with the local specialty Jeongseon Surichitteok, to Maria's House in Chuncheon and the Korea Single Parent Association.

The Happiness Sharing Packages were made by Kangwon Land employees at home with their families as part of the Hi-One Empathy Box, a non-face-to-face volunteer activity, in compliance with social distancing measures.

Additionally, 13 Kangwon Land team and themed volunteer groups visited the Coal Mine Bereaved Families Association, Taebaek Silver Nursing Home, Gohan Heukbit Regional Children's Center, and others to deliver lunch boxes, daily necessities, and hand sanitizers.

From the 23rd to the 25th, over 170 employees from the Casino Operations Office volunteered for 1,004 hours to help with the harvest season at farms in nearby areas such as Yeongwol and Jeongseon.

Kim Chang-wan, Director of Social Value Realization at Kangwon Land, said, "We will continue to strive to communicate with the local community through various sharing activities."
