[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Jeonnam Fire Headquarters (Chief Ma Jaeyoon) has rolled up its sleeves to strengthen public service discipline during the Chuseok holiday.
Jeonnam Fire Headquarters announced on the 29th that it will conduct inspections to correct any laxity in public service discipline that may occur before and after the holiday and to preemptively block violations of COVID-19 quarantine guidelines.
This inspection will be carried out by an inspection team consisting of 13 members in 4 groups, conducting oversight activities at the headquarters, fire stations, 119 safety centers, and all fire offices until the 5th of next month.
The key inspection items include ▲ compliance with COVID-19 quarantine rules and duty guidelines ▲ laxity in public service discipline and acts damaging dignity ▲ implementation status of special Chuseok holiday alert duty ▲ compliance with the public officials' code of conduct and the Anti-Graft Act.
Additionally, during the holiday period, there will be focused inspections on acts damaging the dignity of public officials due to bribery, excessive drinking, and drunk driving.
Since the 18th, Jeonnam Fire has conveyed these matters through audiovisual education such as department head-led self-education targeting all fire offices, internal broadcasts, and posting quarantine guideline notices, urging all employees to exercise special caution.
Chief Ma Jaeyoon said, “We plan to take strict measures against any negligence in duty or various misconducts detected by riding the Chuseok holiday atmosphere,” and added, “Please do your best to become fire officials trusted by the residents.”
