Chuseok-Exclusive Filters Available on Jump AR App
Yoon Do-hyun VR Music Video Released on Jump VR App
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] SK Telecom has prepared various AR (Augmented Reality) and VR (Virtual Reality) content for an untact Chuseok, where gathering is difficult due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
By launching the Jump AR app and selecting the AR Chuseok selfie effect feature, users can automatically composite their face onto the full moon in a scene where AR animals dressed in hanbok are dancing under the full moon, or composite their face onto an image of a person bowing facing forward. If users upload their AR Chuseok selfie images to the open gallery within the Jump AR app with the hashtag ‘UntactChuseok,’ they can receive a free Red Ginseng gift set (top 50 by likes) and KakaoTalk Jumpnyang emoticons (first 1,000 people) as gifts.
In the Jump VR app, users can watch various VR performance videos including YB (Yoon Do-hyun), Romantic Punch, Sonic Stones, and Nanta. These videos are exclusively provided by the Jump VR app and can be enjoyed for free regardless of the mobile carrier. SK Telecom partnered with the untact platform service provider ‘PowerScan’ to prepare this service. The Nanta performance, which offers healing with the backdrop of Nami Island’s Metasequoia Road, can also be enjoyed on Jump VR.
YB will release the VR music video for the title track of their 10th album, ‘I Like Sangsu Station,’ on the Jump VR app. DCompany, the agency of YB, Romantic Punch, and Sonic Stones, stated, “In a situation where offline performances are difficult due to COVID-19, we planned this VR performance so that audiences can vividly enjoy popular band performances online.”
Jump VR also provides various domestic and international VR travel videos for customers thirsty for travel due to COVID-19. The ‘Fresh Delivery’ series, which vividly shows hard-to-visit domestic attractions through VR videos, allows viewers to enjoy places such as Dokdo, Samcheok Pokari Waterfall, and the green waves of Suncheon Bay. Famous overseas cities like Paris, France, and London, UK, can also be toured through VR videos.
Yang Maeng-seok, Head of SK Telecom’s 5GX Service Business, said, “We hope that the Jump service’s AR Chuseok selfie effects, VR performances, and VR travel content will be useful to customers who face many restrictions on family gatherings, performance viewing, and travel this Chuseok due to COVID-19.”
