Economic Development Plan for 2021-2025 to be Announced in November
New Economic Management Measures Such as Open Economy Expected
[Asia Economy Beijing=Special Correspondent Jo Young-shin] The 5th Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (19th 5th Plenary Session) will be held in Beijing from October 26 to 29.
China's state-run Xinhua News Agency reported that the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China held a meeting on the 28th and made this decision.
At this 19th 5th Plenary Session, the 14th Five-Year Economic Development Plan of China (2021?2025) will be discussed and is scheduled to be announced in November.
Additionally, a blueprint for China's future economy, including long-term economic goals and plans up to 2035, will also be unveiled.
The year 2035 is the target deadline set by General Secretary Xi, who also serves as the President, to basically realize "socialist modernization."
The Communist Party of China, in principle, holds a plenary session of the Central Committee once a year to discuss important national agendas.
Xinhua News Agency emphasized, "The 13th Five-Year Plan was a decisive stage in building a prosperous society," and explained, "During this period, China's overall national strength, including economic power and science and technology, has leaped to a new level."
