Jinan-gun, Promotion of Gangmaeul Regeneration Project under Fishing Village New Deal 300

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Tae-in] Jinan-gun held a report meeting on the Gangmaeul Regeneration Project on the 28th to expand infrastructure in fishing villages adjacent to inland waters, aiming to create local income and jobs as well as realize balanced regional development.

The report meeting was held to review the progress since the commencement of the project and to provide a final report on the direction of the inland fishing village project in Jinan-gun based on the analysis results.

The Fishing Village New Deal 300 (Gangmaeul Regeneration) project is a project promoted to revitalize fishing village areas by discovering differentiated content utilizing the core resources possessed by fishing villages and maximizing project effects through integrated development of inland fishing villages.

Additionally, it has attracted much attention as it can expand the infrastructure of inland fishing villages, which have been neglected so far, and promote the revitalization of declining communities.

Jeon Chun-seong, the governor of Jinan-gun, said, "The biggest feature of the Fishing Village New Deal 300 project and the inland fishing village regeneration project is that they are promoted with active participation of local residents," and added, "We will fully empathize with and collect the opinions of local residents and focus on solidifying the project."
