[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] The College of Business Administration at Chonnam National University (Dean Yang Chaeyeol) celebrated its 70th anniversary, tracing its origins back to the Mokpo Commercial Junior College, a predecessor institution.
On the 28th, according to Chonnam National University, the College of Business Administration recently held a commemorative ceremony attended by Dean Yang Chaeyeol, appointed professors, Park Heontak, president of the College of Business Administration Alumni Association, as well as alumni and students. The event celebrated the publication of a commemorative photo book and the selection of 70 Proud Business Alumni.
Dean Yang Chaeyeol stated, “Marking the 70th anniversary of the founding, it was an opportunity to reflect on the past and explore future directions. The College of Business Administration pledges to faithfully carry out various research, education, and volunteer activities to help improve our society.”
Alumni Association President Park Heontak said, “The College of Business Administration has produced numerous talents and leaders, fulfilling the requirements of a prestigious university and growing into an internationally recognized institution accredited by AACSB, a global accreditation body. We expect that true entrepreneurs and business leaders will continue to emerge.”
Meanwhile, the ‘70 Proud Business Alumni’ were selected from alumni who enrolled after 1980, recognized for their entrepreneurial spirit and creative attitudes in pioneering unfamiliar fields. The group also includes four foreign alumni.
