Suncheon-si Completes Happiness Center for Resident Leisure and Communication Space in Juam-myeon Munseong Village

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] The Happiness Hall, a leisure and communication space for the elderly and residents, has been completed in Munseong Village, Juam-myeon, Suncheon City.

Suncheon City held a completion ceremony on the 24th, attended by about 50 people including Mayor Heo Seok of Suncheon, local figures, and village residents, where they exchanged congratulations and gratitude for the long-awaited village entrance road expansion and the completion of the Happiness Hall.

The Happiness Hall in Munseong Village, Juam-myeon, which began construction in March, is a one-story building with a total floor area of 76㎡. It was completed reflecting residents' opinions to be usefully utilized by visitors and residents, equipped with facilities to promote village specialties and experiential learning.

Jo Gil-ho, head of Munseong Village, said, “Until now, the village entrance road was narrow and there were no leisure facilities for residents, causing many inconveniences in activities,” and expressed gratitude, saying, “I thank the mayor and officials for preparing the expanded entrance road and the Munseong Happiness Hall, a leisure activity space and warm home.”

Mayor Heo Seok said in his congratulatory speech, “We will strive to make Suncheon a city where the elderly are happy and welfare is advanced, suitable for the 100-year life era.” He added, “I hope the Happiness Hall will become a place for leisure and a happy old age, and a place for communication with village residents.”
