[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The Public Procurement Service announced on the 28th that it newly designated 101 products from 81 companies as Venture Nara products this month.
The designation of Venture Nara products has been conducted monthly since this year, and this month, the designated list mainly included convergence and new technology products such as 'thermal imaging dual cameras,' 'air-purifying LED indoor lighting,' 'manhole cover separation devices,' and 'assembled structure type wooden decks.'
The designated products are registered in Venture Nara and receive additional points when designated as excellent procurement goods. In addition, the Public Procurement Service provides various support benefits such as education and promotion to expand sales channels.
Meanwhile, Venture Nara was launched in October 2016, and as of the end of last month, 1,465 companies have registered about 9,900 products. The sales of these products have grown from 5.4 billion KRW in 2017, 12.8 billion KRW in 2018, 49 billion KRW in 2019, to 41.8 billion KRW as of August this year.
Baek Myung-gi, Deputy Administrator of the Public Procurement Service, said, “We will help new technologies and convergence products developed by venture and startup companies to enter the procurement market using Venture Nara as a stepping stone, and support them to expand their business areas beyond the domestic market to overseas procurement markets.”
