Jeon Nam-do Councilor Choi Mookyung Sends Non-Face-to-Face Greetings to Welfare Facilities for Chuseok Holiday

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Choi Mugyeong, Chair of the Safety, Construction, and Firefighting Committee of the Jeonnam Provincial Council, announced on the 28th that he shared warmth by visiting social welfare facilities to foster a spirit of coexistence during the Chuseok holiday.

On this day, Chair Choi visited Yeosu Silverville and Maria Nursing Home for the Elderly in Yeosu to deliver consolation goods and encourage facility staff.

This visit was conducted in a non-face-to-face manner at the facility entrances to practice social distancing due to concerns over the resurgence of COVID-19 infections, delivering daily necessities such as rice, toilet paper, and detergent.

Chair Choi said, “Although all citizens are facing difficulties due to COVID-19, I hope that even a small amount of sincerity and care can convey some warmth,” and added, “Through continuous attention to social welfare facilities and marginalized groups, the Provincial Council will always stand by the residents to create a warm local community.”

Chair Choi has consistently continued consolation activities every year during the Lunar New Year and Chuseok holidays by visiting social welfare facilities so that neighbors in need are not isolated and can live with hope.
