[Asia Economy Reporter Seulgi Na Cho] A Galaxy A series equipped with five camera lenses on the rear is coming.
According to IT specialized media SamMobile on the 28th, Samsung Electronics is developing the Galaxy A72, a mid-range model equipped with such a penta camera, as the successor to the Galaxy A71. This is the first time a penta camera is introduced in the Galaxy series. SamMobile reported, "It is a mid-range product, not a flagship model," and added, "Samsung Electronics' mobile camera experiments are increasing in the mid-range segment."
The Galaxy A72 is expected to be released in the first half of next year. On the rear, five lenses will be installed: a 64-megapixel main lens, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, an 8-megapixel lens with 3x optical zoom, a 5-megapixel macro lens, and a 5-megapixel lens. On the front, there will be a 32-megapixel wide-angle camera for selfie shooting.
Earlier, major foreign media also reported that Samsung Electronics would apply optical image stabilization (OIS), which had so far been installed only in premium models, to the Galaxy A72.
