On the 26th, the Hope Sharing People Association donated health supplements worth 100 million won to the county. Established in 2007, the Hope Sharing People Association is a social welfare support organization that has been supporting basic livelihood security recipients, multicultural families, and single-parent families.
An official from the organization explained, "This donation was promoted as part of the rural hope-sharing activities for Chuseok," adding, "We want to convey warmth to local elders and residents."
Yoo Doo-seok, the governor of Jangseong-gun, said, "The good deeds of the Hope Sharing People Association will be a great example and comfort to the local community," and added, "The county will also do its best to make Jangseong a happy place for all residents."
Earlier on the 24th, Lee Chan-hee, CEO of Hansarang FS Co., Ltd., a local Jangseong company, visited the public silver housing Nuri Town and donated food sets worth 7.5 million won. Hansarang FS is a specialized company in processed foods and has regularly donated food for local elderly people.
The LH Gwangju Jeonnam Regional Headquarters also participated in the Nuri Town donation ceremony that day. LH delivered 180 bags of 5kg 365 Saeng rice to Nuri Town residents and the single elderly residential facility "House of Love."
In addition, the Bukha-myeon Youth Association of Jangseong-gun donated home appliances worth about 1.5 million won, including refrigerators, rice cookers, and fans, to the Galma Village Hall, which was damaged by heavy rain in August.
A member of the Bukha-myeon Youth Association said, "The village hall, frequently used by local elders, was flooded, so we prepared the donation hoping for a quick recovery."
