Assemblyman An Ho-young Launches 'Traditional Market Revitalization Campaign'

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Tae-in] On the 26th, Democratic Party of Korea lawmaker Ahn Ho-young (Wanju·Jinan·Muju·Jangsu) visited Samnye Market to hold a 'Save Traditional Market Campaign' and Chuseok shopping event to revitalize the traditional market, which has been stagnant due to the prolonged COVID-19 crisis.

Samnye Market, located in Wanju County, has seen a decrease in visitors since January due to the prolonged COVID-19 situation.

In response, Representative Ahn listened to the difficulties faced by merchants struggling with the depressed local economy and encouraged them by greeting residents one by one.

The campaign was attended by about 20 Democratic Party members and residents, including Representative Ahn Ho-young, Provincial Assembly member Song Ji-yong, County Assembly members Yoon Soo-bong, Lee Kyung-ae, Jeong Jong-yoon, and Yoo Ui-sik.

Additionally, the Democratic Party Wanju County Regional Committee Volunteer Group conducted disinfection activities around Samnye Market twice, on the 1st and 4th of this month.
