60s Single Man Found Dead in Mountain Hills of Chuncheon

[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Eun-young] A man in his 60s who lived alone on a mountain in Chuncheon, Gangwon, was found dead. It was two days after the report.

According to the fire authorities, at around 9:47 a.m. on the 26th, Mr. A (62) was found by police and firefighters on a mountain in Chugok-ri, Buksan-myeon, Chuncheon City. Mr. A was already deceased.

Earlier, on the 24th, a neighboring resident reported, "Mr. A left his house leaving behind his cellphone and wallet and has been unreachable." Upon receiving the report, the police dispatched to the scene conducted a joint search with the fire authorities.

Mr. A, who lived alone on the mountain, was found collapsed in a field about 300 meters from his home, and farming tools such as a plow were reportedly nearby.

The police are investigating the exact circumstances and cause of Mr. A's death.
