Baemin Academy Invites Speakers for 'Saidaday' Lecture Series for Self-Employed in Food Service Industry
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Woowa Brothers (CEO Kim Beom-jun), the operator of the delivery application 'Baedal Minjok,' announced on the 26th that it will recruit speakers for the dining industry self-employed invitation lecture 'Soda Day' in collaboration with '15 Minutes to Change the World' (hereinafter Sebasi).
Now in its 4th year, 'Soda Day' is a lecture program where dining industry self-employed individuals take the stage as speakers to share their business experiences and growth stories with the public. Baemin Academy, operated by Woowa Brothers to support education for small dining business owners and self-employed individuals, has been conducting this program together with Sebasi since 2017.
The theme of this 4th Soda Day is 'Strength that does not waver even in crisis.' Any dining industry self-employed person who can share their own know-how for overcoming crises or the driving force behind their business that remains steady despite crisis situations such as COVID-19 is eligible to apply.
A total of five speakers will be recruited. Applicants can fill out the application form and submit a video expressing their aspirations on the event page within the Baemin Academy website. The application period is until the 11th of next month. After the screening is completed, selected speakers will be individually notified, and the final selected business owners will receive about one month of lecture coaching through Baemin Academy and Sebasi before taking the stage.
This year’s 4th Soda Day will be held as a real-time online live lecture on November 23rd in accordance with the COVID-19 situation, and audience recruitment will begin on October 23rd. Baek Seon-ung, director overseeing Baemin Academy at Woowa Brothers, said, "In the unprecedented crisis caused by COVID-19, stories of dining industry self-employed individuals finding breakthroughs and overcoming challenges themselves are expected to provide great courage and strength to self-employed people nationwide," adding, "Baemin Academy will continue to provide online and offline education and campaigns that offer practical help to self-employed individuals."
