Gurye-gun Wins Korea SNS Awards Grand Prize for Two Consecutive Years

Now in its 10th year, the ‘Korea SNS Awards’ is the most prestigious award in the domestic SNS field, evaluating the SNS utilization performance of public institutions and companies to select outstanding organizations. The list of winners in each category was announced on the 25th.

Gurye-gun has been operating various SNS channels such as Facebook, blogs, Instagram, and KakaoTalk Plus Friends, producing diverse content tailored to the characteristics and age groups of each platform.

In particular, during the worst flood damage in August this year, the collaboration between the county’s SNS and the ‘Gurye-gun SNS Supporters’ actively shared the damage situation and recovery status with local residents in real time, receiving praise for effectively utilizing social media even in a crisis situation.

A county official said, “Despite difficulties in promoting Gurye-gun through SNS due to COVID-19 and flood damage this year, we are pleased to receive a major award for two consecutive years,” adding, “We will continue to show Gurye-gun’s unique sensibility and active communication through SNS.”
