[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] KT announced on the 25th that it has signed a business agreement with Ngenbio to jointly develop and commercialize a "customized digital healthcare service based on genetic information analysis."

Ngenbio, which started as KT's first in-house venture, is a specialized company in genome research and development, reagent manufacturing, software development, and precision diagnostics. Through this business agreement, the two companies will combine KT's ICT platform capabilities such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and cloud with Ngenbio's genetic information analysis capabilities to jointly develop services and platforms and cooperate in commercialization. The main areas of collaboration include ▲development of personalized health management (diet therapy, exercise therapy) services, ▲establishment of a specialized platform for storing and managing personal genetic analysis information, and ▲development of big data analysis services for genetic information.

Lee Yong-gyu, Executive Director of KT AI/DX Convergence Business Division, said, "Through cooperation with Ngenbio, we will discover personalized digital healthcare services utilizing genetic information," adding, "We will continuously expand data-based digital healthcare services and platforms to contribute to healthier lives for our customers."
