K-Bank, "Open the Lucky Box to Win Up to 1 Million Won Gift"

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] K Bank announced on the 25th that it will launch the ‘Lucky Box Gift’ service, which allows users to gift a ‘Lucky Box’ containing 100% cash to friends in celebration of Chuseok.

The Lucky Box is a ‘cash box’ awarded when using account payment, remittance, or point charging with a K Bank withdrawal account through 11 major simple payment services including Naver Pay, Kakao Pay, Toss, Payco, and Coupay. Depending on the box, users can win up to 1 million KRW daily.

On the main screen of the K Bank application (app), by pressing the ‘Cash Pickup Lucky Box’ page’s ‘Share’ or ‘Gift and Receive Box’ button, users can gift a box to friends via social network services (SNS) or text messages regardless of whether they currently hold a Lucky Box. Gifting a box does not reduce the number of boxes the sender holds.

If a friend receives a Lucky Box gift and newly registers with K Bank through it, both parties will receive 100 Lucky Boxes each. Even if the friend is already registered with K Bank, both will receive one Lucky Box each upon gifting.

Lucky Boxes can be gifted once per friend, and there is no limit to the number of friends to whom boxes can be gifted.

There is also a ‘Box King’ event. Until the 14th of next month, the customer who collects the most Lucky Boxes will receive 10 million KRW. Additionally, among new members who joined through the Lucky Box, one ‘Lucky King’ will be selected by lottery to receive 10 million KRW in cash.

A K Bank representative said, "We prepared this event hoping that people can share small blessings with acquaintances non-face-to-face through the K Bank Lucky Box during the Chuseok holiday," adding, "Since K Bank offers free deposit and withdrawal fees at all banks and GS25 convenience store ATMs, we will do our best to provide differentiated financial benefits even during the holidays."
