On the 25th, 11st announced that it will participate in the donation campaign ‘Happy Two Meals’ project, which supports lunchboxes for children in welfare blind spots, in collaboration with ‘Happy Alliance,’ the largest social contribution platform in Korea.

The business agreement ceremony to support the ‘Ansan Happy Two Meals Project’ was held on the 24th at Ansan City Hall, Gyeonggi Province, attended by Lee Sang-ho, CEO of 11st, Yoon Hwa-seop, Mayor of Ansan, Kwak Ho-geun, Chairman of Happy Lunchbox Social Cooperative, and Cho Min-young, Head of Social Value Innovation Office at Happy Narae.

Through this agreement, lunchboxes will be delivered to Wongok-dong, Ansan City, Gyeonggi Province, an area with many children in welfare blind spots. Especially this year, due to COVID-19, with school closures and online classes, school meals have been suspended, increasing the number of children in need of meal support.

11st will donate funds raised through Hope Shopping, combined with donations from citizens participating on the Happy Alliance website, to provide one meal lunchboxes daily to 100 children from early October after Chuseok until February next year. The total scale is about 11,000 meals over five months.

Since 2013, 11st has continued support activities for various marginalized groups in society through ‘Hope Shopping,’ involving sellers and consumers. This campaign is part of 11st’s ongoing donation support activities for Happy Alliance’s ‘Happy Lunchbox’ project.

Lee Sang-ho, CEO of 11st, said, “We decided to provide this support because we judged that help is absolutely necessary to solve the increasingly serious problem of food-insecure children due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic,” and added, “Through ‘11st Hope Shopping,’ which is achieved through cooperation with sellers and consumers, we will continue to carry out social contributions that provide practical help to our neighbors.”
