aT Export Field Coaching Project Progress
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] NS Home Shopping has teamed up with aT to enhance the export capabilities of small and medium-sized food partner companies struggling with sales channels due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
On the 25th, NS Home Shopping announced that to prepare for the post-COVID era and promote the overseas expansion of K-Food and the development of sales channels for small and medium-sized food partners, it has selected partner companies to participate in aT’s Export Field Coaching Project and decided to invest a budget of 15 million KRW to support them.
aT’s Export Field Coaching Project dispatches experts to small and medium-sized food companies to immediately resolve all questions and difficulties related to exports on-site, making it a highly satisfactory program for participating companies.
NS Home Shopping plans to use the allocated 15 million KRW budget for this project to fully cover the partner companies’ self-pay costs for the Export Field Coaching Project and to support the translation and production costs of promotional materials for overseas sales only for companies that complete the consulting.
Previously, NS Home Shopping accepted applications from interested partners and selected eight companies: Jeonnam Producers Cooperative, Woongdam Co., Ltd., ISB Net, Youngsan Hong-eo Co., Ltd., Ace Biom, Agricultural Corporation Maeumiga, Farmjoa Agricultural Corporation, and Raonel.
These partners handle local agricultural and livestock products such as juices, rice cakes, nut snacks, soy milk, and frozen vegetables. Through this coaching project, they are expected to solve challenges across the entire trade process, from customs quarantine to labeling, packaging, and overseas marketing.
NS Home Shopping and aT will conduct export field coaching and consulting through expert matching for each partner company until November and complete the project by the end of the year while establishing plans for business linkage in 2021.
Going forward, NS Home Shopping plans to continuously manage and support small and medium-sized food partners to achieve practical results in developing overseas sales channels by participating in domestic and international food exhibition booths and supporting entries in export promotion events.
Kim Ji-nyeon, head of NS Home Shopping’s Win-Win Growth Team, said, "Nurturing food partners with global competitiveness is the direction we must take for the development of Korea’s agriculture, livestock, and food industries," adding, "We will support small and medium partners to grow beyond strong small enterprises into national representative companies through various win-win growth programs."
NS Home Shopping and aT signed a business agreement in 2018 to expand sales channels for small and medium food companies linked to farmers and have been working together on various activities for the development of agriculture, livestock, and the growth of small and medium food companies.
