Japan Reports 474 New COVID-19 Cases

According to public broadcaster NHK, as of 8:30 PM that day, 474 new cases were confirmed nationwide. The cumulative number of confirmed cases rose to 81,304.

By region, many new cases were reported in Tokyo Metropolis with 195, Osaka Prefecture with 66, Kanagawa Prefecture with 58, and Aichi Prefecture with 34. The cumulative number of confirmed cases in Tokyo Metropolis reached 24,648.

The number of deaths includes 1,537 domestic infections and 13 cruise ship passengers.
