[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Joo Ho-young, floor leader of the People Power Party, criticized North Korea's shooting incident involving a missing public official from Yeonpyeong Island on the 24th, saying, "If they proposed a declaration to end the war at the UN General Assembly despite knowing that a South Korean citizen was shot, it is not only deceiving the people but also an absolutely unacceptable situation."

After the video conference meeting with lawmakers that afternoon, Floor Leader Joo told reporters, "We are currently in the process of investigating the facts," adding, "We are tracking the timeline and the reported details."

Regarding the appointment of the Public Officials Corruption Investigation Unit chief recommendation committee members, Floor Leader Joo stated, "I will not respond because it only reinforces the Democratic Party of Korea's framing."
