[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Kim] Employees of BNK Gyeongnam Bank gathered warm compassion to share with the underprivileged in the region.
On the 24th, Gyeongnam Bank announced that it donated the 'Baekhap Sharing Fund' to welfare facilities in the Gyeongnam and Ulsan areas in celebration of the national holiday Chuseok.
The Baekhap Sharing Fund was prepared by combining 7.5 million KRW collected from all employees' monthly salary contributions (spare change) with an additional 7.5 million KRW donation from Gyeongnam Bank.
The Baekhap Sharing Fund, which will be distributed to 33 welfare facilities in the Gyeongnam and Ulsan areas before Chuseok, will be used for the operating expenses of these welfare facilities.
An official from the bank stated, “The donation of the Baekhap Sharing Fund is a love-sharing activity in which all employees participate to help the underprivileged in the region, and it is conducted regularly every year. We hope that children, elderly, and disabled people living in the 33 welfare facilities in the Gyeongnam and Ulsan areas will spend Chuseok in a better environment.”
