[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] The Small and Medium Business Corporation (SBC) announced on the 24th that it held the 1st Ontact Open Innovation Forum under the theme of "Innovative Strategies for Workforce Development of Small and Medium Ventures in the Post-Corona Era."

This event was organized to set the direction for innovative strategies in demand-driven workforce development projects in the post-corona era and to strengthen the expertise of project staff in response to rapidly changing external environments.

The forum, held via non-face-to-face video conference, was attended by about 100 participants including Kim Hakdo, Chairman of SBC, workforce development project staff, CEOs of small and medium ventures, and experts in related fields.

At the forum, Professor Lee Chan, Director of the Career Development Center at Seoul National University, and CEO Cho Youngtak of Hunet Co., Ltd. delivered keynote speeches on "Talent Development Strategies in the DX (Digital Transformation) Era" and "Pandemic and Workforce Development." CEO Cho emphasized the importance of talent development, stating that investments in education and workforce should be expanded as long-term risks like the COVID-19 pandemic arise.

Kim Hakdo, Chairman of SBC, said, "With the acceleration of digital transformation and the normalization of non-face-to-face daily life, the goals and methods of corporate education are also changing," adding, "Accordingly, we will actively promote the digital transformation of in-service education by expanding non-face-to-face training reflecting the demands of the corporate field and introducing platform-based customized education utilizing edutech."

Meanwhile, SBC plans to regularize the Ontact Open Innovation Forum and hold it every two months.
