'ConTech Meetup Day' Technology Contest Promotional Poster (Provided by SK Engineering & Construction)
[Asia Economy Reporter Chunhee Lee] SK Engineering & Construction announced on the 24th that it will hold the construction technology contest 'ConTech Meet-Up Day' targeting business partners (collaborating companies) and startups.
ConTech is a compound word of construction and technology in English, referring to innovative technologies that actively utilize 4th industrial revolution technologies such as automation and digitalization to enhance productivity in construction processes. This contest was prepared to secure ideas necessary for smart construction and new businesses to realize the economic value (EV) and social value (SV) pursued by SK Engineering & Construction. Any SK Engineering & Construction business partner or startup with innovative technology and creative ideas can participate.
The contest is divided into two categories: 'immediately applicable technology' and 'joint research and development (R&D) technology.' An excellence award will be selected in each category. There is no limit to the number of selections.
This contest will be jointly participated by public institutions such as the Research & Development Special Zone Promotion Foundation and Technology and Value, as well as professional consulting firms, and judging will be conducted on a total of five detailed technologies: ▲eco-friendly and energy ▲DT (construction management solutions using AI, big data, IoT, sensors, BIM, etc.) ▲modular ▲living platform (apartment management and interior) ▲site productivity improvement methods and others.
The application period is until the 14th of next month, and applications can be submitted via email. After the first document screening and the second presentation, the final winners will be announced in November. SK Engineering & Construction plans to provide various benefits to the winning companies depending on the technology field, such as technology commercialization support, patent application support, and connection to investment institutions.
