[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Korea Electrical Safety Corporation announced on the 24th that it has decided to exchange professional personnel with Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation.

The two organizations signed a cooperation agreement on "strengthening personnel exchange and vacant house maintenance projects" at the headquarters of Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation in Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do.

The agreement was made to enhance the execution capability and outcomes of projects requiring cooperation by mutually dispatching professional personnel between the institutions for a certain period.

First, they will revise the forms of personnel exchange and the personnel management regulations of each institution to establish a framework for cooperation and prepare detailed implementation plans. Professional personnel will be mutually dispatched within this year.

The dispatch period is about one year. The affiliated institution will verify and select personnel who have the qualifications and experience necessary to perform the relevant duties. After completing the work, they will return to their original institution.

Cho Sung-wan, president of the Electrical Safety Corporation, said, "Mutual exchange and cooperation between institutions is a way to enhance organizational business capabilities and openness," adding, "I hope that the experienced talents of the two institutions will contribute more significantly to improving public safety and rights."

The two organizations also signed a "cooperation agreement for the vacant house maintenance project."

According to the business agreement, LX will share the general electrical equipment inspection data held by the corporation for the "vacant house maintenance project," which LX is conducting based on GIS geographic information to solve the problem of community depopulation.

Among the inspection results conducted on 23 million households nationwide, data on houses with power disconnection customers or zero leakage current values will be extracted and provided.

An official from the Electrical Safety Corporation said, "This kind of collaboration is expected to become another stepping stone in eliminating safety blind spots caused by population decline and community depopulation."
