Only Awardees by Grade Receive Awards... Exhibition of Winning Works in District Office Lobby 1st Floor and Online on District Blog Until September 29

Award Ceremony of Dobong Art Contest Featured in the Media 'Award Ceremony of the 4th Dobong Painting Contest Featured in the Media'

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Dobong-gu (Mayor Lee Dong-jin) held the awards ceremony for the "4th Dobong Reflected in the Media Drawing Contest" on the 23rd at the Communication Cooperation Room on the 8th floor of the district office's Gu-min-cheong.

Since 2017, the district has been conducting the "Dobong Reflected in the Media Drawing Contest," where elementary school students express various aspects of Dobong-gu reported through various media outlets in drawings. This year, a total of about 359 works were submitted.

The grand prize winners by grade in the "4th Dobong Reflected in the Media Drawing Contest" were ▲1st grade Cho Dang Elementary School Lee Ha-joon ▲2nd grade Jawoon Elementary School Kwon Yi-hyuk ▲3rd grade Changdo Elementary School Choi Ye-rin ▲4th grade Changgyeong Elementary School Shin Yoo-jin ▲5th grade Cho Dang Elementary School Park Yoon-ha ▲6th grade Dongbuk Elementary School Choi Ji-ho.

This contest was especially meaningful as it allowed us to see the memories of Dobong before COVID-19, which we had temporarily set aside, through the hopes and imaginations of children.

To observe social distancing due to COVID-19, only the grand prize winners from 1st to 6th grade were awarded as representatives, with only one guardian attending, minimizing the number of participants. All attendees underwent temperature checks and hand sanitization and wore masks to prevent COVID-19 infection.

Mayor Lee Dong-jin of Dobong-gu, who attended the awards ceremony, said, "Preparing for the contest must have given the children a chance to look at Dobong-gu with affectionate eyes once again. I thank all the children who participated despite the difficult times due to COVID-19," and added, "We will strive harder to make Dobong-gu a happy and respectful place for children."

Meanwhile, the winning works of the "4th Dobong Reflected in the Media Drawing Contest" will be exhibited on the 1st floor lobby of the district office until before Chuseok (September 29). Additionally, an online exhibition of the winning works will be held on Dobong-gu's official blog for non-face-to-face viewing.
