Ulleung-gun to Publish 'Encyclopedia' of Ulleungdo and Dokdo Around October

Completed Final Report Meeting for Service Contract with Korean Regional Humanities and Nature Research Institute

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Ulleung-gun, Gyeongbuk announced on the 23rd that it will soon publish the "Ulleungdo-Dokdo Encyclopedia," which combines natural science and humanities and social knowledge of Ulleungdo and Dokdo.

To produce the "Ulleungdo-Dokdo Encyclopedia," Ulleung-gun signed a service contract with the Korea Regional Humanities Research Institute in October last year with a total project cost of 200 million won. Following a mid-term report meeting in May this year, a final report meeting was held on the 21st. The encyclopedia will be published around October as the final review was completed at the final report meeting.

Kim Byung-su, the mayor of Ulleung-gun, stated, "By newly producing and organizing various books about the stagnant Ulleungdo and Dokdo into an 'encyclopedia,' we plan to shed new light on previously unknown information and foster local patriotism and pride."
