The Korea YouTube Creator Education Center, a live commerce training institution in Jeju Island, announced that it recorded total sales of 175 million KRW over three days until 5 p.m. on the 18th through a live commerce broadcast linked with the Jeju Mall KakaoTalk Talk Deal operated by the Jeju Economic and Trade Promotion Agency, starting from the 16th.

Although there have been many live commerce broadcasts in the province, sales were very low as these broadcasts were planned more as promotional strategies rather than sales strategies for Jeju specialties. However, in this broadcast conducted over 72 hours on KakaoTalk Jeju Mall, a total of 6,000 Talk Deal transactions were recorded for four Jeju specialty products (Hwanggeumhyang citrus, Omegitteok rice cakes, handmade gimbugak seaweed snacks, and Jeju mackerel), achieving sales of 175 million KRW, once again proving the sales potential of live commerce linked with Talk Deal in the province.

The 175 million KRW sales from the 72-hour KakaoTalk Talk Deal-linked live commerce can be attributed to the real-time live commerce broadcast streamed on the Korea YouTube Creator Education Center MCSN LIVE SERVER’s 6 million channels.

Meanwhile, the Korea YouTube Creator Education Center is a private organization specializing in YouTube creator education for local small business owners and SMEs, as well as live commerce education for farmers and fishermen. It was awarded the Grand Prize in the YouTube Creator Education category at the 2019 Korea Consumer Satisfaction Awards.

Earlier, from September 14 to 18, it successfully conducted commissioned live commerce training by the Jeju Agricultural Technology Institute aimed at expanding sales channels for female and young farmers through rural experience and Jeju agricultural products.
