[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] BR Korea directly employed over 130 workers, accounting for more than 60% of all Dunkin production partner employees, on the 23rd.
BR Korea announced in July its plan to directly hire about 200 Dunkin production partner employees and has been holding briefing sessions and conducting recruitment procedures for partner employees. On this day, the employment procedures for 135 people were completed first.
The newly hired partner employees will start working as BR Korea employees, with their salaries and benefits upgraded to the same level as regular employees. The base salary has been increased by more than 5% compared to before. Additionally, all welfare benefits will be provided at the same level as BR Korea employees. Working conditions will also be improved, including expanded paid holidays and better break times.
A BR Korea official explained, “We plan to continue the recruitment process for the remaining employees who have not yet been hired and complete direct employment as soon as possible.”
Meanwhile, this direct hiring of production workers is part of BR Korea’s ‘New Dunkin Project,’ which involves reorganizing production facilities, reallocating production personnel, and investing in equipment to improve product quality. Accordingly, the total number of production facilities nationwide will be consolidated from seven to five by the end of the year, and HACCP certification for all production centers is expected to be completed by the end of this year. Through this project, it is anticipated that product quality improvement and enhanced consumer trust will strengthen brand competitiveness.
