This is the 4th generation Callaway Golf Chrome Soft 20 golf ball (photo). It made headlines in 2018 as the first golf ball to adopt the cutting-edge material graphene, achieving overwhelming distance, perfect control, and extreme softness. As its market share increased, the company has recently taken a more aggressive approach to R&D investment. They poured a whopping 60 billion KRW into their Chicopee factory in Massachusetts, USA, establishing state-of-the-art equipment and systems.

Using 3D X-RAY equipment, it is notable that there are almost no defective products. By inserting lightweight yet high-strength graphene into the outer core, the inner core size increased by about 34% compared to the previous model, and the higher trajectory led to unprecedented driving distance. Actual robot test results measuring distance at the Songdo Sports Industry Technology Center in Incheon showed an improvement of more than 4 meters compared to the previous 3rd generation model.

The new high-speed mantle system creates faster ball speed and transfers energy through the dual softfast core. Consistency and durability have also improved. The urethane cover, which is 10% thinner, demonstrates its power. During a full swing, it produces fast ball speed and low spin, while in the short game, it delivers high spin and a soft hitting feel. The hexagonal dimples increase hang time, playing a role in achieving the optimal trajectory. There are three models available.
