NH Nonghyup Bank, EBS, and Korea Youth Policy Institute Join Hands to Develop Youth Innovation Model
Korean Youth Innovation Model 'Next Hero' to Air on EBS in November
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi]NH Nonghyup Bank held a business agreement ceremony on the 22nd at the bank headquarters with EBS and the Korea Youth Policy Institute to discover the youth innovation model 'Next Hero.'
'Next Hero' refers to youths who are interested not only in academics and college entrance exams but also in social issues and strive to change for the better. Attending the agreement ceremony were Son Byung-hwan, President of NH Nonghyup Bank; Kim Myung-joong, President of EBS; Song Byung-guk, Director of the Korea Youth Policy Institute; and Kang Ji-won, lawyer and chairman of the Next Hero selection committee.
The three organizations agreed to discover Next Heroes from early this year and conducted a public contest targeting youth organizations and schools nationwide in July and August. At the ceremony, they agreed to actively cooperate in ▲discovering youth talents ▲supporting youth culture ▲improving awareness of youth.
President Son said in his greeting at the ceremony, “NH Nonghyup Bank has been actively conducting youth financial education activities, being selected as the Financial Supervisory Service's excellent company for one school and one company financial education for four consecutive years. We consider it very meaningful to work together with youth specialized organizations to support youth talents through this agreement.” Lawyer Kang, who served as the head judge, commented, “I was impressed by the stories of youths who actively change the world as agents, and I hope a social culture that respects youth will be established.”
Meanwhile, the Next Hero program, featuring 10 youths selected from various fields as protagonists, is currently being produced in 10 episodes. It is scheduled to be broadcast on EBS 1TV in November.
