Yeonggwang-gun Achieves National 1st Place in Agricultural Machinery Rental Business Evaluation

[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters reporter Lee Jeonseong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Junsung) announced on the 22nd that it was honored as the 'No. 1 nationwide' among 142 evaluated local governments in the 2020 Agricultural Machinery Rental Business Evaluation hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, and was selected as the best county for four consecutive years.

This evaluation, conducted by the Korea Rural Economic Institute, assessed 15 items across 7 categories including the operation performance of agricultural machinery rental offices, service satisfaction surveys for rental users, and on-site investigations.

The county was judged to have received overall excellent evaluations in all categories such as ▲ agricultural machinery rental business personnel and organization ▲ business performance ▲ business sustainability ▲ participation in government policy projects ▲ agricultural machinery usage education ▲ user satisfaction.

In particular, the expansion of agricultural machinery education facilities, securing a large number of rental agricultural machines, expanding operating personnel, high agricultural machinery rental performance, and contributions to farmers' acquisition of certifications through various agricultural machinery education and training were also highly evaluated.

Governor Kim Junsung said, “We will do our best to operate the agricultural machinery rental office worthy of the nationwide No. 1 status in the agricultural machinery rental business so that farmers have no inconvenience in renting agricultural machinery.”

Meanwhile, since 2017, the county's Agricultural Technology Center has continuously secured prize money awarded to excellent institutions by achieving excellent results in the agricultural machinery rental business evaluation for four consecutive years, contributing to improving farmers' satisfaction by replacing and renting out old agricultural machinery.
