Korea Safety Management Institute Signs Safety Cyber Education MOU with Osan City Hall Commemorative photo after signing a business agreement for AI-based convergence talent development with Osan City and two other organizations

The Korea Safety Management Institute (CEO Park Seong-myeon) signed a business agreement on the 18th at Osan City Hall with Osan City (Mayor Kwak Sang-wook), Kwangwoon Academy Foundation (Chairman Jo Seon-young), and iMBC Campus (CEO Jo Chung-yeol) to jointly promote the cultivation of talent needed in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution by advancing AI-based smart city education. Through the signing ceremony, it was announced that “the four parties agreed to actively cooperate to nurture core talents.”


In particular, the Korea Safety Management Institute is a specialized organization that creates and provides education on safety and disaster-related content such as CCTV monitoring and security training. CEO Park Seong-myeon, who holds a doctorate related to safety and disaster, served as a central government official in the safety field for over 30 years until recently and is currently working as an adjunct professor in the Department of Disaster Safety Engineering at Hanyang University.


Through this business agreement with Osan City, by mutually cooperating to utilize online education platforms and safety content, they plan to foster talent and lay the foundation for a smart future city across local governments, security, and safety sectors in Korea, particularly related to CCTV monitoring personnel.


CEO Park Seong-myeon of the Korea Safety Management Institute stated through this agreement, “We will provide Osan City with cyber education infrastructure related to safety, especially noting that ‘CCTV monitoring personnel working at the Osan City Smart City Integrated Operation Center are responsible for Osan City’s safety,’” and added, “We have decided to provide essential training for the monitoring personnel to perform their duties effectively in creating a safe Osan City.”


After the agreement signing, the participants visited the Osan City Smart City Integrated Operation Center and took time to observe how the operation of the center has made Osan City safer. They also reflected on the hard work of the CCTV monitoring personnel who are building a safe city and the advanced deep learning-based smart CCTV monitoring services.
