[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Muan County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 22nd that it will hold a UCC contest to contribute to overcoming the crisis in the tourism industry, which is suffering from a sharp decline in tourists due to COVID-19, and to discover and promote Muan's attractive tourist destinations through promotional materials.
The contest is open to anyone interested in Muan tourism, and any creative video work that promotes Muan's tourist attractions, natural scenery, and traditional culture in an innovative way, or interestingly introduces things to enjoy, sights to see, and food, expressing Muan County's hidden charms with unique ideas in any form, can be submitted.
Applications can be submitted via email designated by the county from October 5 to November 23, along with an application form, for videos produced in various formats such as documentaries, commercials, dramas, animations, etc., with a duration of up to 3 minutes. After preliminary screening and final judging by experts, a total of six works will be selected.
The selected works will be awarded prizes and certificates: one grand prize of 3 million KRW, two excellence awards of 1.5 million KRW each, and three encouragement awards of 1 million KRW each. The works will be used as promotional materials for Muan tourism on various SNS channels such as YouTube, Instagram, and blogs, as well as at various events. Meanwhile, the winning works will be announced on the county website in mid-December.
