Galaxy S20 FE, iPhone 12 Rival to Recover First Half Slump

[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Samsung Electronics has started to build excitement a day before the Galaxy S20 FE (Fan Edition) unpack event.
On the 22nd, Samsung Mobile released a Galaxy S20 FE unpack trailer video on Twitter, beginning with the caption "Your voice gives us a lot of inspiration." The Galaxy S20 FE boasts the most vibrant rear colors among all Galaxy products to date. Not only the invitation but also the video emphasized colors such as Navy, Lavender, Mint, Orange, Red, and White. A video released two days earlier mentioned features favored by Galaxy fans, such as display, battery, and water resistance, raising expectations.
Samsung Electronics is unusually holding three unpack events in the second half of this year alone. Following the August 5 unpack event that revealed the Galaxy Note20, tablets, and wearable products, and the September 1 unpack part 2 for the Galaxy Z Fold2, the "Samsung Galaxy Unpack for All Fans" unveiling the Galaxy S20 FE will be held online on the 23rd at 11 PM (Korean time). Due to the impact of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the event is held online instead of offline. With the cancellation of the developer conference 'SDC2020' event usually held in October, it is expected that new software feature news will also be introduced at the third unpack event of the second half of the year.
The Galaxy S20 FE is an affordable model that lowers the price by more than 300,000 KRW by utilizing Galaxy S20 components. The domestic release is expected in October, with a likely price range of 800,000 to 900,000 KRW. Samsung Electronics is releasing the Galaxy S20 FE to compensate for the sluggish performance of the Galaxy S20 in the first half of the year and to compete with the iPhone 12, which is scheduled to be unveiled in October.
A promotional video detailing the Galaxy S20 FE's camera and battery specifications has also been leaked. The video, released by Max Weinbach, a contributor to XDA Developers, highlights key features of the Galaxy S20 FE camera, such as Single Take and Night Mode. The Galaxy S20 FE features a 6.5-inch flat display, larger than the Galaxy S20 but smaller than the S20+. It is equipped with a 32MP front camera and a rear triple camera setup (12MP wide-angle, 12MP ultra-wide, 8MP telephoto). The camera supports 30x Space Zoom and 3x optical zoom. It is powered by the Snapdragon 865, supports 8GB RAM and 128GB memory, and has a battery capacity of 4500mAh.
