Trump to Announce Ginsburg Supreme Court Successor Between 25th and 26th (Update)

[Asia Economy Reporter Eunbyeol Kim] U.S. President Donald Trump announced on the 21st (local time) that he will nominate a successor candidate for the recently deceased Federal Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the 25th or 26th.

In an interview with Fox News that day, he said, "I will announce the candidate on Friday or Saturday," and added, "The candidate list has been narrowed down to five or fewer."

Last weekend, President Trump mentioned that he would present a candidate within this week and stated that, like the late Justice Ginsburg, the nominee would be a woman.
