[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Bong-ju] Comedian Jung Joo-ri sparked controversy after revealing a photo of pizza and chicken that her husband had saved for her. When her husband faced criticism, Jung deleted the post and explained the next day that he had bought her king crab.
On the 21st, Jung Joo-ri shared a KakaoTalk conversation with her husband on Instagram. Her husband, saved under the name "Root of All Evil," sent a message saying, "Honey, I had a tough day today. I left some pizza and chicken. We're going to sleep. Don't be upset," along with a photo of a pizza box placed on the table.
Jung responded, "I had a recording on the weekend, so my husband watched the kids. He said he left some pizza and chicken, so I was going to eat it, but where's the cheese topping? Are we raising mice at home? Should I pick more chicken meat? If I hadn’t checked KakaoTalk, I would have thrown it straight into the trash," and shared photos showing the pizza missing cheese toppings and chicken with only bones left.
She added, "Meanwhile, he didn’t eat the two chicken wings I like," and said, "Thank you."

However, online communities reacted with comments like, "Isn't Jung Joo-ri’s husband being too harsh?"
Jung tried to dismiss the controversy with hashtags like "Just laughing it off" and "Husband trying hard for Instagram episodes."
Despite this, as criticism toward her husband did not subside, Jung deleted the post and uploaded a photo of herself eating king crab. Along with it, she added the caption, "Should have posted that my husband bought king crab the next day #WhoaWhoa," defending her husband.
Jung Joo-ri debuted in 2005 as part of SBS’s 8th public recruitment of comedians and married a company employee who is one year younger than her in 2015. They have three sons.
