Incheon TP Supports Establishment of Online Shared Video Conference Rooms

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon Technopark (Incheon TP) is recruiting small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) support organizations and industry-specific associations and groups to participate in the online shared video conference room construction project until the 28th.

This project aims to support the growth of SMEs whose business activities have been restricted due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic by promoting non-face-to-face work, supporting the installation of open video conference rooms in support facilities frequently used by businesspeople.

The applicants are facilities that provide office space, management, and funding support to SMEs and venture companies, or organizations, associations, and centers located where many SMEs and venture companies are concentrated.

If selected as a support organization, the video conferencing system installed in the currently used meeting rooms must be made available to SMEs at all times.

Incheon TP will select a total of 75 locations and support the purchase costs of video equipment, monitors, speakerphones, and domestic software up to 8 million KRW for small rooms (7 people or fewer), and up to 12 million KRW for medium (8-16 people) and large rooms (17 people or more).

Additionally, up to 8 million KRW will be provided for three smart work booths of 1-2 person size, suitable for telecommuting in separate spaces.

Applications can be submitted through the National Subsidy Integrated Management System e-Naradoom (www.gosims.go.kr).

An Incheon TP official stated, "We will separately recruit supplier companies to build online video conference rooms by mid-next month and plan to complete the online shared video conference room construction project within this year," adding, "We expect this to promote non-face-to-face work and digitalization for SMEs and venture companies."
