[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] IBK Industrial Bank announced on the 21st that it will conduct an "untact volunteer activity with adolescent customers" in collaboration with Holt Children's Services.
The bank stated that it planned this customer participation activity to provide volunteer opportunities to adolescents who find it difficult to participate in volunteer activities due to recent social distancing measures and to help children from families in crisis.
Adolescents participating in the volunteer activity will be provided with a "DIY kit for making book covers," and the completed book covers will be donated to children from families in crisis. Participating adolescents will be credited with 4 hours of volunteer work.
Any adolescent customer under the age of 19 who has an account with IBK Industrial Bank can participate. Applications are available from today on the Holt Children's Services website, and participation opportunities will be given to the first 300 applicants.
Adolescents without an IBK account can receive a 10,000 KRW financial voucher to subscribe to financial products such as the Housing Comprehensive Subscription Savings and apply for the volunteer activity.
An IBK Industrial Bank official said, "We hope this will be an opportunity for participating adolescents to share warmth and a small comfort to children from families in crisis who are struggling due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19)."
