[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Joo-hee] On the 20th, Jang Je-won, a member of the People Power Party, criticized the government and ruling party, saying, "The ruling power's 'crisis escape manual' is becoming systematized and organized to the point of giving me goosebumps," and added, "Their shamelessness is sky-high."

In a post on his Facebook on the same day, Rep. Jang pointed out that the government and ruling party repeat the same pattern in responding to crises, stating, "When a moral issue arises involving a key figure of the administration, the person involved flatly denies it with their characteristic shamelessness even when clear testimony and circumstantial evidence emerge."

Rep. Jang said, "They shut down any opposition and insist it is 'the resistance of the deep-rooted forces against reform,'" and criticized, "The so-called 'ppa' units bombard with text messages and attacks on social networking services (SNS) at the level of character assassination, gagging the voices of conscientious forces within their camp."

He continued, "Then, they mobilize pro-government media to bring out individuals who provide opposing testimony, creating an atmosphere of 'now it's tiresome,'" and "Democratic Party lawmakers step forward, disregarding decorum, and pour out curses and abusive language toward the opposition. Both first-term and senior lawmakers competitively join in, throwing words without logic, shame, or embarrassment."

He also said, "(Afterward) pro-government civic groups launch indiscriminate accusations against figures in the opposing camp, initiating a full-scale diversion. The prosecution and police swiftly begin investigations like lightning. They stage a 'self-reflection show' with disciplinary gestures unrelated to the parliamentary position, and at the final stage, the president steps in, saying, 'Now, let's calmly wait for the prosecution's investigation results and return to discussing people's livelihoods,' calling for cooperation," listing the government and ruling party's crisis response actions.

Rep. Jang pointed out, "The fairness and justice that the administration itself has destroyed are emphasized dozens of times as if nothing ever happened," and "All suspicions are being systematically covered up according to the 'manual.'"

He warned, "'Hwamusipilhong (花無十日紅, meaning power or wealth does not last long).' Power cannot cover the truth."
