Relieving Customer Anxiety Amid COVID-19 Resurgence, 99.9% Antibacterial Effectiveness

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] NS Home Shopping announced on the 21st that it will introduce antibacterial packaging materials for food delivery in response to the growing social interest in hygiene and cleanliness. This introduction is a measure to alleviate customers' concerns about contamination during the food delivery process amid the recent resurgence of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

While considering ways to prevent contamination during the delivery process, NS Home Shopping adopted antibacterial packaging materials through the proposal and consulting of EPS Korea, which has expertise and experience in packaging material development and quality management.

The packaging materials manufactured by EPS Korea and supplied to NS Home Shopping have been recognized for their antibacterial effect in tests conducted according to the Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS), demonstrating a 99.9% antibacterial effect.

NS Home Shopping will first introduce the antibacterial refrigerated box for the 'Lee Jong-im Marinated Beef Chuck Grilled' sold at 10:45 PM on the 21st and plans to operate it temporarily from the Chuseok holiday, when food demand is high, until social distancing measures are eased.
