[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jeong-ho] Former announcer Lee Hye-seong is drawing attention by appearing on 'King of Mask Singer.'
On the afternoon of the 20th, MBC's 'King of Mask Singer' featured Lee Hye-seong, former KBS announcer and partner of Jeon Hyun-moo, showcasing her singing skills.
In the last match of the first round, 'Buttumak Cat' faced off against 'Seodang Dog.' The result was a victory for Buttumak Cat, and 'Seodang Dog,' who removed the mask to reveal her identity, was none other than former announcer Lee Hye-seong, currently in a public relationship with Jeon Hyun-moo.
Regarding this, Lee Hye-seong expressed, "First of all, I am very honored to stand on such a big stage. Despite my singing skills, I am grateful for the invitation."
She then opened up about the burden of being labeled as Jeon Hyun-moo's girlfriend.
She said, "Honestly, it is quite burdensome. Since I haven't shown much of myself on broadcasts so far, people tend to recognize me as someone's girlfriend. I think this is a challenge I need to overcome going forward. If I show various sides of myself, I hope people will take an interest in me as an individual."
When Kim Seong-ju asked about Jeon Hyun-moo's reaction to her appearance on 'King of Mask Singer,' Lee Hye-seong replied, "He told me it was a great opportunity to stand on stage alone, so not to be nervous and to do well. He said he liked seeing me work hard at whatever I do and encouraged me to do my best."
Meanwhile, former announcer Lee Hye-seong recently declared her freelance status and signed an exclusive contract with the same agency as Jeon Hyun-moo.
