Cheong summons BTS following IU... "President Moon likes BTS songs and dances" President Moon Jae-in is receiving the 'Gift for 2039,' which contains musical achievements and messages from BTS, at the 1st Youth Day Commemoration Ceremony held on the morning of the 19th at the Blue House's Nokjiwon.

President Moon Jae-in effectively confirmed that he is a fan of BTS by stating on the 20th that he knows and likes all of BTS's songs and dances. BTS attended the 1st Youth Day commemorative ceremony held at the Blue House's Nokjiwon as youth representatives the day before. BTS delivered a message of encouragement to the youth and also presented a gift to President Moon.

Kang Min-seok, the Blue House spokesperson, said in a briefing on the 20th, "There were many questions from reporters asking if President Moon actually likes BTS's music, so I asked the president directly," adding, "President Moon answered, 'Yes, I like both their songs and dances.'"

President Moon said, "When I listen to BTS's songs and watch their dances, they seem like youths who have reached a high level," and added, "Sometimes with idol group music, I can't follow the lyrics, but with BTS, I can hear the lyrics and follow along." He also evaluated, "That is why BTS has a strong fan base among both young and old."

Regarding these remarks, Spokesperson Kang explained, "It means that (President Moon himself) confirmed that he is an actual fan of BTS's music."

Earlier, on the 19th, BTS, visiting the Blue House for the first time as youth representatives, shared their experiences of overcoming moments of despair since their debut and reaching the top of the Billboard charts, saying, "If you are facing difficulties in your future life, we hope our story can be a small source of strength."

In his commemorative speech that day, President Moon emphasized 'fairness' 37 times and pledged to make every effort to realize a fair society and fair economy.

President Moon said, "The government deeply feels the high demand for fairness from the youth and will definitely respond," adding, "Fairness is the spirit of the Candlelight Revolution, and while it may not be fully achieved, it is our government's unwavering goal." He continued, "For fairness to be newly established from the youth's perspective, fairness must be felt across recruitment, education, military service, society, and culture," promising to eradicate recruitment and military service corruption and stabilize the real estate market.

President Moon has often used celebrities to increase the attention to his messages and lighten the atmosphere. A recent example is when he mentioned singer IU to encourage nurses during the medical sector strike.

On the 2nd, President Moon praised IU on Facebook for donating about 4,600 ice vests worth 100 million won to the Korean Nurses Association.

President Moon said, "I also heard the news that singer IU donated ice vests," adding, "Please do not forget that the people of our nation are always by the side of the nurses who steadfastly stay with patients and endure."
