The inspections will cover 10 public and private construction sites from the 22nd to the 24th.

Additionally, the city will listen to difficulties faced at construction sites, provide guidance on amendments to construction-related laws, and distribute promotional materials to publicize the compliance requirements for construction companies.
Gwangju City plans to provide on-site guidance and correction for minor issues found during the inspections, and take administrative actions according to the Framework Act on the Construction Industry for illegal or unfair acts.
Kim Kyung-ho, head of the Construction Administration Division of the city, said, “Amid the difficult times everyone is experiencing due to COVID-19, especially with the upcoming Chuseok holiday, we will focus on inspections to prevent wage arrears of construction workers.”
