"Incompetence and Hypocrisy... A Regressive Regime, Not a Progressive One"
"President Riding Fandom Wave, Lacking Understanding of Democracy"

[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Juhee] Ahn Cheol-soo, leader of the People’s Party, said on the 20th that those who blindly support the Moon Jae-in administration "do not even realize that they are becoming servants to protect the interests of politicians. I feel sorry for them."
On the same day, in a dialogue video with Professor Seo Min from Dankook University, released on his YouTube channel, Ahn said, "The people are the owners of politics, but they seem to have completely lost their sense of sovereignty and are wandering in obscurity," adding, "As owners, if they cannot protect their own interests and fail to manage the country, they must sternly reprimand."
Professor Seo also expressed concern, saying, "A fandom is tightly united around a singer and buys any 'poor' album unconditionally, making it a bestseller. This can be understood in pop culture like idols, but it becomes problematic when it comes to politics."
He continued, "Politics should target the entire nation, not just fandoms. However, fandoms operate so strongly that even if the president does something pathetic, the approval rating still reaches half," criticizing, "This makes the president think it’s okay to be careless and engage in politics only for their own benefit."
He added, "The president should protect the people, but Moon’s fandom acts as if they are protecting the president, which is absurd," and said, "It is unfortunate that the president engages in politics riding on fandom. I think this shows a lack of democratic awareness."
Ahn criticized the government, saying, "It is an administration unlike any we have experienced before," and sarcastically remarked, "If past governments were the old (gu) deep-rooted evils, then the current government can be called the new (sin) deep-rooted evil. The old deep-rooted evils talked about communists, while the new deep-rooted evils claim pro-Japanese collaborators. They really resemble each other."
He continued, "In short, this government is incompetent and hypocritical," and criticized, "I don’t know if they claim to be a progressive government, but in fact, it is a regressive administration."
Professor Seo evaluated, "Politicians and presidents, who live off the people’s taxes, are similar to parasites," adding, "They should fatten the people and eat only a little, like parasites, but they eat the most themselves. I wish this government would act only as much as parasites. Right now, they are worse than parasites."
Ahn pointed out, "Our politics has been infected by three viruses," explaining, "The corruption virus that distributes taxes to oneself and followers to feed their own side, the gangster virus that judges only whether someone is on our side or the opponent’s without discerning right or wrong, and the 'I am king' narcissism virus."
He added, "To cure the political virus, I think we need not V3 (computer antivirus program), but V4 or V5."
