According to Homeplus on the 20th, from the 1st to the 8th of this month, online sales of refrigerated ready-to-eat meals increased by 83% compared to the same period last month and by 159% compared to the same period last year. It is analyzed that rather than purchasing fresh foods to prepare traditional holiday tables, consumers are buying ready-to-eat meals that can be easily prepared at home.
In response, Homeplus is holding a “Signature Ready-to-Eat Meal Promotion,” offering discounts on premium private brand (PB) 'Signature' ready-to-eat products until the 1st of next month.
The promotion includes about 50 Homeplus Signature products, with a 10% discount offered when purchasing two or more items. This event was organized to provide customers with convenient yet abundant holiday meals through Homeplus Signature’s ready-to-eat products, which combine affordable prices and excellent quality.
First, they introduce various types of jeon (Korean pancakes) and fried foods essential for the holidays that can be easily cooked using a frying pan or air fryer. The lineup includes Signature Nokdujeon (mung bean pancake, 400g, 7,990 KRW), Signature Myeongtaejeon (pollack pancake, 300g, 7,990 KRW), Signature Omisanjeok (375g, 7,990 KRW), as well as newly launched Signature Kkaennipjeon (perilla leaf pancake, 345g, 7,990 KRW), Signature Gochujeon Twigim (chili pepper pancake fry, 320g, 7,990 KRW), Signature Danhobak Twigim (pumpkin fry, 350g, 4,990 KRW), and Signature Ojingeo Twigim (squid fry, 350g, 6,990 KRW).
They also offer meat dishes suitable as side dishes, such as Signature Donggeurangttaeng (Korean meat patties, 750g, 7,490 KRW) and Signature Tteokgalbi (grilled short rib patties, 600g, 7,490 KRW).
