[Asia Economy Reporter No Woo-rae] ○…The 'resurrected golf emperor' Tiger Woods (USA) is rumored to possibly participate in this year's PGA Tour The CJ Cup for the first time.

Golf Channel USA predicted on the 19th (Korean time) that "he might play in The CJ Cup starting in October." Established in 2017, it is the first-ever PGA Tour official event held in Korea. This year, due to COVID-19, the venue was moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, for four days starting October 15. Interest in Woods' upcoming schedule surged as he missed the cut at the 120th US Open, which concluded that day in Mamaroneck, New York.

First, along with Justin Thomas (USA), Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland), and Justin Rose (England), he will participate in the Payne's Valley Cup, a 'mini Ryder Cup,' on the 22nd in Hollister, Missouri. Afterwards, he will compete in the Zozo Championship starting October 22 and the Masters held on November 12. Golf Channel cautiously predicted, "There will be a four-week gap from the US Open to the Zozo Championship," adding, "He might appear at The CJ Cup held the week before the Zozo Championship."
