Gokseong-gun Forms TF to Address Damage Compensation and Prevent Recurrence from Seomjingang Dam Discharge

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] On the 18th, Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it had formed a TF team to compensate for damages caused by the release of water from the Seomjin River Dam during the heavy rains in August and held a meeting.

At the working-level meeting on the 16th, the TF team agreed on the need to clearly define the scope of investigation targets and basic data by type in preparation for damage compensation caused by the release of water from the Seomjin River Dam.

They also decided to seek detailed strategies and plans by department regarding the investigation methods.

In addition, they regularly checked other local governments' response measures and similar trends related to this issue, and explored ways to cooperate with the Gokseong-gun Countermeasures Committee for Flood Damage in the Seomjin River Basin.
